Spring 2016: project outputs

We have had an exciting couple of months at CBESS working on our end of project outputs; a carbon predication tool for ecosystem managers and a complimentary citizen science app.

IMG_2495The University of St Andrews, Bangor University and the Centre for Ecology & Hydrology have developed ‘The Saltmarsh App’ which will encourage the public to visit their local salt marsh and submit valuable vegetation and soil data. Read more here.

 

 

Welsh fieldworkThe team at Bangor University have developed a saltmarsh carbon stock prediction tool aimed at environmental decision makers in the public sector. Data collected during the CBESS field campaigns and during field work in Wales contributed to the tool. Read more here.
